The IIC – Innovation & Innovator Cell, Khulna University of Engineering & Technology celebrated ‘World Intellectual Property Day 2017’. In the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor of KUET, Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir, a meeting was held at the conference room of the university at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, 26 April 2017. The Vice-Chancellor said that the day is celebrated for the purpose of excelling new innovations, research and technology and we agree with DG, WIPO that the IIC is also celebrating to all the risk-takers, all those who have dared to bring about positive change through innovation. The Event was organized by ‘The IIC – Innovation & Innovator Cell’.
Management team of the IIC, deans of various faculties, institute directors, departmental heads and related faculty members participated in the program. In the presence of ‘Innovation – Improving Lives’ theme, the keynote paper on the Intellectual Property was presented by Prof. Dr. Md. Shahjahan, Head of the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE). Prof Dr. Quazi Hamidul Bari, Director of Institute of Disaster Management (IDM) and Member of the IIC, Prof. Dr. Md. Nurunnabi Mollah, Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME), Prof. Dr. Muhammed Sheikh Sadi, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and S.M. Tariqul Islam, Assistant Professor of IDM and Member of the IIC also delivered their speech.
